Riton Optics: Veteran Owned, Quality Driven

May 22, 2018 by BloggerAdmin 2 Comments

My conversation with Brady Speth, Owner of Riton Optics, began like this:

I would challenge anyone—in or out of the industry—to find a better, higher quality product on the market today at any of our price points. We looked and continue looking and can’t find it.

If you haven’t heard of Riton Optics, you’re not alone. It’s only been around since 2013 and really didn’t start making a big move into the market until the past year and a half or so. Prior to that, Riton products could be found on its website, in select “mom-and-pop” shops (mostly in the Southwest), and on the pages, blogs, and YouTubers of a very select early adopters.

What Is Riton Optics?

Riton Optics is a Veteran-owned and operated optics company offering high quality, precision optics at the most competitive prices in the market. Riton’s founder and CEO, Brady Speth, is not only a U.S. Military Veteran and former Law Enforcement officer, but also an avid hunter and shooter, who brought practical application and affordability to the optics industry with the Riton product line.

Speth and his wife and COO, Carrie, started the company five years ago in Tucson, Arizona. In the initial years of the business they were primarily focused on developing product and supplier relationships to ensure the Riton designs could be produced and supported. As the company has continued to grow, the focus has shifted to growing the brand and expanding the line.

In the past two years, the company has experience exponential growth—so much so that it has outgrown and moved its entire facility not once, but twice—and it is steadily growing each month. Riton has also added a captive, national sales force and 300+ dealers in the past six months, with more coming on every day.

Riton shows no signs of slowing. According to Speth:

“This company was created as a customer-centric company focused on the continual needs of the end user.”

Continued development of practical, affordable optics provides customers with more options to suit a wide variety of needs. However, the Riton also firmly believes in meeting the needs of the customer beyond the initial purchase. Riton has a team to answer additional questions, advise on optics solutions such as mounting or sighting in your optic and provides support in the case of a customer issue. Riton’s employees are passionate about helping people and customer service is at the core of each action within the company.

Riton Employees

Speth dedicated a considerable amount of time to ensuring that Riton is staffed with the best people, and their consideration goes beyond just noting experience. The team at Riton has remained focused through their growth by building a team that can not only support the company but also communicate effectively with customers. Beyond a staff that is passionate about helping people, the team is comprised of weapons enthusiasts, hunters, outdoorsmen and women, law enforcement, and military family members. The development and support of all Riton optics comes from people who not only work in the industry but who also support the 2A community as a way of life.

Riton Products

Riton Optics’ product line currently includes three lines of rifle scopes, a line of binoculars, and red dot sights with and without magnifiers—all made to withstand the toughest conditions. The company differs from the competition in that it sources all of its individual components, and then contracts the assembly. This unique process allows for better control of the process and risk mitigation in regard to the availability of Riton’s products. Riton’s process is also different as each optic is quality controlled in its facility in Tucson, Arizona upon initial receipt and again once pulled for shipment to the customer.

Riton optics feature aircraft-grade aluminum housings and high definition glass from Japan with 99.5% light transmission. Riton’s optics are waterproof, fogproof, shockproof, and dry-nitrogen or argon purged and sealed, allowing them to withstand the harshest conditions.

To test the quality, functionality, and practicality of its products, Riton uses expertise gained from hunting, military, and law enforcement applications. Beyond internal expertise, new products are frequently sent to police departments, military teams, diverse hunting groups, and shooting experts for input and torture tests prior to production runs. Tapping into these resources has allowed Riton to design critical features into the optics providing for the best possible form, fit, and function.

Riton’s product lines feature four categories of products classified by features and price point. While all products Riton sells will beat the competition on value, the categories have been designated to provide options at every price point. The flagship Mod 7 series, for instance, features argon purged optics with specialized features such as MOA and MRAD adjustments as well as First Focal Plane availability. The Mod 5 series is a non-caliber specific line featuring optics with wide Field of View (FOV), several first focal plane lens options and traditional hunting scopes.

The popular Mod 3 series is an AR-15 specific line with a specially developed Bullet Drop Compensated (BDC) reticle and a variety of magnification options. Although the lowest price points can be found in the Mod 3 series, there is no sacrifice to quality in the line. The Mod 3 optics feature high definition glass and are also waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof—all at an incredibly affordable price point.

Riton Warranty

Riton is extremely confident in the quality and performance of its optics, while acknowledging and supporting the unavoidable issues that may occur. In the spirit of providing the ultimate customer service experience, Riton offers an Unlimited Lifetime Warranty. Riton’s warranty is different from the competition. Riton’s warranty does not include repair of a damaged optic or replacement with a refurbished item. All warranty returns receive a new, off the shelf item. In addition, all returns are fulfilled within 48 hours of receiving the defective product.

With the Riton warranty, customers are not required to complete registration cards or provide proof of purchase. Riton’s warranty ensures, should an end user ever have an issue, Riton will be there to fix the issue by replacing the part with a new item.

What do you think of Riton’s warranty? Do you own any of Riton’s optics? Share your favorite Riton Optics product in the comment section.
