The division of our nation continues, this time the issue being that of Vaccination. It’s a hot button issue, and the more they bombard this topic on various airwaves, the more likely it seems this has been the true motive behind the coronavirus pandemic all along.
Try to keep an open mind. I am adamant when I say the one immutable truth about time is that it always reveals. What initially plays one way can look completely different with enough ellipses in time.
In November of 2019, accounts of the novel coronavirus leaked. Videos surfaced of people falling over due to a new virus ravaging mainland China.
Though this health concern was on the other side of the world, visceral imagery at the time certainly garnered our attention. Fear often causes a lack of clarity.
By the time 2020 rolled around, more stories surfaced about life in China.
Videos, this time of residents in lockdown, singing to one another from balcony to balcony. Again, no better way to tell a story than through imagery [motion pictures being such an example].
The name of the game for those in power is desensitization. Allow our brains to slowly process new images, gradually introduce a new lexicon for our tongues to adapt to, and with time, we awake to a new world.
An analogy I’ve read and deem perfect for this scenario is that of a frog in a pot. If you were to fill said pot with boiling water and drop the frog in, the outcome would be simple; the frog would immediately leap out.
Conversely, if you drop the frog in room temperature water, the frog will remain put. Then, very slowly, you increase the temperature little by little. Before the frog knows it, it is sitting in a pot of boiling water, withering away.
We are that frog and have been sitting in a boiling pot for some time now.
Wherever you might be while reading this, sit back and reflect on the past year and a half. Try to do so without emotion. Detach, and look at how your day-to-day existence has transformed.
I’ve reached a crossroads. I no longer stand by and comply with every single mandate big government stuffs down my throat; this means getting death stares as I traverse the common areas of my condo sans mask.
Confrontations inside gas stations when I enter without a mask to pay for fuel, which for the record, costs about as much as a sack of diamonds these days.
Do I believe vaccines issued by Pfizer or Moderna are harmful and will cause me bodily harm? Not necessarily.
Do I believe I have the right to decide for myself whether I will be vaccinated or not without the threat of losing my civil liberties in the process?
You’re damn right.
For the record, I am currently non-vaccinated.
My reluctance at the time of writing this is as follows: if I’m on an airplane with twenty other individuals, and we are trying out a new type of parachute, being one of the first to jump out of the plane isn’t exactly prudent.
Canada is quite different from the United States. My apprehension about vaccines North of the border makes me a target.
I am painted as irresponsible, uneducated, even reckless [many Americans hold the same belief, I’m aware ].
Many of you have probably had weaning faith the past year and a half. Don’t. America has once again been a beacon for so many around the world.
The United States was one of the first countries to call bullshit once daily rights weighed in the balance. States like Texas and Florida behaved autonomously and proved what freedom and self-determination mean.
In recent months, citizens of France, Italy, Hungary, and Canada have spoken up. They continue to voice their opposition to big government and the implementation of vaccine passports.
The real motive behind vaccine passports has very little to do with protecting the vulnerable. Those in power don’t give two shits about us. If they did, why do millions of human beings starve annually when there is plenty of food to go around?
The coronavirus and its latent effects are just one more play call enacted to keep us divided. Time is our ally – track world issues and see what they yield with enough passage in time.
