Some purchase guns for protection and others own them for sport.
Whichever side one ascribes to, one truth is imminent; the round-up and ban of assault rifles by big government.
This has been in the works for some time.
With the recent mass shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, leftist talking heads seized the opportunity to trumpet calls for reforming gun laws.
Countless news outlets with grandstanding politicians demanding the disbandment of certain weapons bombarded the airwaves.
Their contention; military-grade firearms are no longer necessary in America.
Calls for mandatory background checks for all gun owners usually follow this stance.
Detach from the issue, and it is clear what they really seek; control.
Gun reform pundits yearn for the abolishment of the Second Amendment.
It is the last vestige Americans cling to in defence of Draconian officials striving to crush individual freedoms.
Each decade, life in the U.S. becomes less about individual sovereignty and more about ‘do as we say or else.’
The Covid-19 fiasco made this abundantly clear.
Consequently, the real goal for those in power is the disarmament of its citizens.
Americans’ right to bear arms is a threat to power-hungry officials.
The Second Amendment protects us from autocratic tyrants who covet never-ending control over our lives.
Revolutionary Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevero famously said, “A revolution without guns? It would never work.”
Buffalo was only the beginning.
Expect more stories of mass shootings plaguing the nation throughout 2022.
These narratives aim to paint all gun owners in a negative light.
Patriotism is in their crosshairs.
More accounts of ‘white nationalists’ will bombard the senses.
They will depict patriotic Americans as the new brand of terrorists.
Many Americans will adopt such accounts as immutable truths.
Unfortunately, they won’t realize the real threat until it is too late.

You and I know this is the truth. Politicians seek to control “We the People”. But, what can we do? In my case, deep S. Tx., we have no voice in Congress. In my 75 years, this area has been controlled by the free stuff and the democrats that make it possible. Then we have the good o’le boys in the Senate. Cornyn seems to be complacent. I never see him putting it all on the line for any cause. He’s comfortable. And Cruz, who knows where he would stand if it came to a fight. Then there’s the media. I never trusted the big MSM, but thought our local stations were reliable. A few years ago, the local stations were bought out and the news suddenly changed to reflect whatever garbage was being mandated by the networks. I no longer watch local news.
I guess where I’m going with this is we are pretty much helpless. Our politicians don’t represent us. They represent the party platform and not the people. When someone comes up with a real plan, sign me up! Talk is just that, TALK!

Perhaps it will be your children are shot in the next mass school shooting… then what will you say?

There needs to be a better solution than the heuristic, emotional “ban all assault weapons” contention.
