Since the outset of the pandemic, Canadians have proved to be far too compliant. As a result, many freedoms and civil liberties have suffered.
With democracy waning and a Prime Minister pushing non-stop mandates, Canadians are finally deciding to fight back.
Usher in The Freedom Convoy, a mass demonstration with one purpose; turn all eyes on the Great White North.
Regardless of your stance, public assembly is a byproduct of democracy.
Our ability to speak up is why countless individuals flee their homeland with dreams of a better life.
Throughout this pandemic, more individuals have voiced concerns about governments imposing autocratic measures on the premise of public safety.
Initially, we were told two weeks to flatten the curve. We are going on two years.
Individuals, Canadians included, are fed up.
They are banding together as one and voicing concerns over mandatory vaccines for truckers, endless lockdowns, and decreasing freedoms.
So, what is the Freedom Convoy at the core? A peaceful protest.
Tens of thousands of Canadians marched on Ottawa in opposition to Prime Minister Trudeau’s mandated vaccines for Canadian truckers.
The Prime Minister’s response? Hole up inside Parliament Hill and cite exposure to Covid-19 as to why.
Coverage by mainstream media concerning the convoy reeks of bias and is concerning.
They depict the protesters as a fringe minority and not representative of Canada.
Furthermore, they weave a narrative that depicts protesters as hateful with violent tendencies.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Canadians are singing, dancing, and of course, playing hockey with one another.
Some volunteer to keep a constant supply of fuel for the purpose of powering generators and heating trucks.
Others prepare meals to keep protesters fed.
Humans are banding together and helping each other, yet the mainstream media shows none of this.
Instead, they weave narratives that paint peaceful demonstrators as anarchists. They muddle the issue in attempts to disway more Canadians from opposing the government.
Currently, the Freedom Convoy is in its third week.
Ottawa is packed with eighteen-wheelers and others around the world are taking notice.
The Ambassador Bridge which connects Detroit to Windsor, Canada, was shut down earlier this week.
The irony is thick. The federal government has spent the majority of two years shutting down small businesses, schools, even places of worship.
In turn, truckers united and shut down the busiest entry point between neighboring countries.
Chew on that, Feds.
Ask the truckers themselves to describe the convoy in a word and you will hear unity, togetherness, or something to that effect.
In addition, they’re quick to point out that the movement is non-violent.
Again, facts the mainstream media chooses not to report.
Latest developments from Ottawa suggest increased policing.
The Police Chief called for 1,800 additional officers to handle protests as early as yesterday.
Furthermore, tickets are being issued for anyone who honks their horn. Ridiculous? Perhaps, but true nonetheless.
Contrary to what some think, the Freedom Convoy is not about vaccines. It is about discarding mandates.
Hard-working, blue collar Canadians desire self-governance when it comes to their bodies. There is nothing wrong in this.
Did Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meet with the truckers to discuss the matter? No. Instead, he barricaded himself indoors.
This is not effective leadership. In fact, he must be condemned for choosing to divide Canada during trying times.
How this movement will end is anyone’s guess.
The truckers appear to be principled and resilient, which very well could mean that Ottawa will remain this way long after the trees have bud.

The Canadian government has invoked terrorism financing laws and now the Christian crowdfunding site has had its distributions blocked in Canada.
It certainly looks bad when the governor declares peaceful citizen protesters as terrorists
