The 2020s: A Decade of Volatility

September 23, 2024 by Ara Leave a Comment

The gun issue in America is nothing new. For the better part of a century, there’s been a divide pitting two ideologies against one another: those for gun control vs those for gun rights.

Generally, individuals with leftist views want fewer guns with stricter laws, while conservatives see guns as synonymous with American life. Each side lobbies its agenda and spends millions annually trying to influence Americans. It’s an issue with no pending resolution that could very well decide the Presidency.

Logic Over Emotion

Logic suggests we’re safer with guns than without (the main caveat being responsible gun ownership). Yet, the Left and the MSM peddle a different story, often painting guns as an epidemic that undermines a safer way of life. Calls for gun-free zones and increased background checks when purchasing firearms are mainstays for liberals and the woke.  When was the last time you saw the MMS cover a story where a gun owner saved the day? Yet, this happens every single day in America.

A New Narrative; Damage Control

Lately, Harris and company have framed her as a gun owner with no desire to disarm Americans. The pivot is predictable since the former Attorney General from California is vying for the votes of millions of Americans, some of who are unquestionably gun owners. A career politician willing to say anything to win isn’t earth-shattering news.

Harris is suddenly Sarah Connor LOL
Harris and Co. working overtime to rebrand her image.

However, a Harris Presidency could spell trouble for millions of American gun owners. Sweeping gun reform during her Presidency isn’t out of the realm of possibility. During a recent interview with the National Association of Black Journalists [NABJ], Harris didn’t mince words:

‘ASSAULT RIFLES ARE DESIGNED TO KILL A LOT OF HUMAN BEINGS QUICKLY, AND HAVE NO PLACE ON THE STREETS OF A CIVIL SOCIETY. WE NEED UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS.’

She double-downed by stating universal background checks apply to handguns as well. Gun reform, a nicer way of saying gun control, seems far likelier with Harris calling the shots (perhaps something to consider for undecided Americans out there).

Predictive Programming: Volatility, EMP Power Grid Failure, Civil War, Martial Law

Decades have a way of defining themselves as they play out. The 1950s were seen as the Golden Age of Capitalism when Americans enjoyed abundance and prosperity. Conversely, the 2000s proved to be a time when our way of life was defined by a supposed war on terror (the war for oil).

Who can forget the absurd color charts depicting terror threats?

Color Wheel FarceThe thematic undertone halfway through the 2020s  is volatility.

The decade kicked off with a so-called pandemic that changed everything. The buzzword for 2021 was ‘vaccine’. We witnessed society split, one side calling for forced inoculations while the other pushed back, citing free will. It was arguably one of the most divisive times in recent human history.

2022 ushered in the Russia-Ukraine war that’s currently playing out while 2023 was about the turmoil in Gaza, another atrocity that continues to write itself in real-time. You get the picture.

Stock up and Prepare

These are volatile times, and it could only be the beginning. Imagine if an EMP was released over the United States, sending the country into the Stone Age (you’ve probably seen this scenario in numerous movies courtesy of Hollyweird).

In a flash, neighbors turn on neighbors as chaos ensues. Violence, crime, and anarchy, quickly follow suit. Martial law is imposed by Big Brother, who not surprisingly swoops in with Draconian measures using unprecedented times as an excuse.

In such a scenario, do you like your chances of survival with, or without a gun?
