KALASH BASH 2019: The Beginning of Something Great

February 26, 2019 by Kalashnikov Society 2 Comments

You might ask yourself, where is Navasota, Texas, and what would I do there? The answers for the weekend of April 13-14, 2019 are:

  1. KALASH BASH 2019—The place to be.
  2. To have the time of your life with like-minded AK enthusiasts.

Whether you are there to compete or just check out the fun, it appears this is the place to have a great time.

Kalash Bash 2019 is in its first year, but it has attracted the interest of a number of social media influencers, competitive shooters, and AK fanatics. Held in the heart of Texas at the CCC Shooting Complex—between College Station and Houston—this event has the potential to be the beginning of something great.

A General Admission ticket gets you into both days of the event and access to vendor booths, demonstrations, main event activities, entry in the contests and giveaways, as well as free parking at the venue. You will also get three “Karnival” tickets that allow general admission attendees the ability to participate in “Karnival” Stages. Don’t worry though, if 3 tickets are not enough, you can always buy a few more. It is not necessary for you to bring a personal rifle to shoot, unless you are planning to participate in the “Karnival” Stages or you are going to compete. However, this is Texas, so you are welcome to carry your holstered pistol.

Like the General Admission ticket, the Competition Pass gets you into both days of the event and access to vendor booths, demonstrations, main event activities, entry in the contests and giveaways as well as free parking at the venue. However, you will also be registered to compete in 8 Stages (6 Bay and 2 Natural Terrain), which will be as challenging as they will be fun. As a competitor, you will want to bring at least one of your favorite AK rifles and enough ammunition and gear to compete in all the stages.

As with any great event, there will be food and drink available for purchase and you are welcome to bring your own. Tickets are available online at Kyber Customs, and the cost for General Admission is $75. A Competition Pass will run you $150. Again, while this event may be in its virgin year, given the quality of the sponsors, competitors, and influencers participating, the only questions you should be asking are, “Do I need a new gun or some additional ammo?” and “Where is the closest hotel and how long is the flight to Houston?”

Are you going to KALASH BASH 2019? Which gun(s) will you be bringing? Share your answers in the comment section.

I live in Lake Charles, La. and drove to the Kalashmas TX 2018 event and it was a great time. I anticipate this event to be even better!
