Gun Giveaway: Kahr Arms CT380 Basket Weave

January 22, 2019 by David Dolbee 10 Comments

Quality, performance, and fit are all top considerations when deciding where to spend your hard-earned greenbacks on a new pistol. However, when it to comes to Second Amendment supporters, there is a fourth element that is considered with every purchase and that is the people behind the product. It takes more than a manufacturer making a quality product, we want a manufacturer that is as passionate and true to the Second Amendment and the gun toting population as we are.

By connecting with customers, Kahr is able to really prove to America that they care more about PEOPLE than PROFITS.

I recently met with representatives from Kahr at a press event. When your audience is a bunch of crusty old gun writers, two things are true. First, you better have something impressive, and second you better be packing something worth shooting. I can honestly tell you this, in the case of Jodi DePorter, head of Kahr Firearms Group’s marketing department, she met both criteria, but the Kahr backstory impressed me every bit as much as the guns as well.

Kahr does not display the marketing hype and flash of some gun manufacturers. Instead, it is one of the most down to earth companies that cares about the people. Even though she had a limited time to interest the writers about the product, Jodi did not start by talking about Kahr’s latest model or hottest sellers. Instead, it was about the people behind the product and how Kahr is gives back. For example, Kahr, through the Fallen Officer Program, will donate a Thin Blue Line model PM9 customized with the fallen officer’s name on the side of the slide, and his or her badge number and “end of watch” date engraved on the top of the slide. The gun can then be  auctioned to raise money for the family or remain with the family as a keepsake.

Beyond the Battlefield

Beyond the Battlefield is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that John “TIG” Tiegen (One of the survivors of the September 11 Benghazi attack) and his wife, Margaret, founded in 2017. Its mission is to provide support for wounded veterans as they face the many challenges encountered during rehabilitation, the healing process, and reintegration into everyday life. Kahr worked with TIG to develop a special run of the TIG series ST9 pistol as well as a three-gun set featuring a Kahr ST9, Auto Ordnance Tommy Gun TIG model, and Magnum Research Desert Eagle TIG model. Kahr then donates part of the proceeds to Beyond the Battlefield from each sale.Kahr’s genus and commitment to the Second Amendment started long before these programs though. Kahr’s founder, Justin Moon (founder and CEO of Kahr Firearms Group) got a New York license to carry a handgun at age 18, but he was not satisfied with the small calibers available in compact handguns.

I had been licensed to carry in New York State since I was 18 and had looked for an ultra-compact 9mm pistol,” Justin later told American Handgunner. “I could not find a pistol with the quality of construction and features in design which I felt were appropriate for a carry gun. Therefore, I decided to design an ultra-compact 9mm pistol that I could carry.

By his junior year of college, he decided to design one himself. Justin not only pioneered the first truly concealable 9mm semi-automatic handgun to ever hit the market, but he’s been leading the charge of how a true American business should run ever since.

In late 2018, Kahr Firearms Group launched a revolutionary free gun giveaway marketing campaign that focuses on building a true relationship with its customers. For instance, when a new user enters their gun giveaway, Kahr Arms rewards them by offering a high-quality embroidered Kahr Hat — for free.

Kahr Firearms Group was looking to establish a real relationship with current and future customers, and connect with them in a meaningful way,” said Jodi DePorter. “That’s why we launched our VIP marketing campaign.

When a user visits www.kahrvip.com, the following takes place:

  1. Users are invited to become part of Kahr’s VIP program by unlocking the giveaway with their name and email address.
  2. Users are then invited to gain extra entries into the Kahr VIP giveaway by following Kahr Firearms on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
  3. Users are then offered a free Kahr Hat — valued at $24.99 — by just paying a few bucks for shipping!

Kahr is leading a revolution to truly connect with customers in an authentic relational way, and moving away from the traditional “sales” type business methods. By connecting with customers, Kahr is able to really prove to America that they care more about PEOPLE than PROFITS.

We invite you to take part in this revolutionary relationship building campaign by entering to win a Kahr Arms CT380 Basket Weave carry gun.

If you have never experienced the feel of a Kahr, you owe it to yourself to try one. If you have fired one lately, you are in for a real treat. Watch for a review of the Kahr K9 Elite coming soon!
