‘Keep Your Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, But…’

In remarks reminiscent of the promises of a former president who assured Americans they could keep their doctors and health care plans, Democratic presidential hopeful Rep. Eric Swalwell brought his gun control demagoguery to Debate Night No. 2, insisting, “Keep your pistols, keep your rifles, keep your shotguns, but we can take the most dangerous weapons from the most dangerous people.” [Read more…] about ‘Keep Your Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, But…’

Video: Watch Brazil, See the Failure of Gun Control

Brazilian gun laws are some of the strictest in the world. President Jair Bolsonaro started to reform the administration of the laws in 2019. He did this by using his power of Presidential decrees. This changes the rules of how the law is administered. Much of the abuse under the law was through the administrative rules. Changes to the law must come through the Congress, those changes have not been enacted yet. [Read more…] about Video: Watch Brazil, See the Failure of Gun Control

Armed Bad Guy: Keester Stash in Backside, Gun in Front Blows His Junk Off

Man Allegedly Hiding Drugs In Backside Accidentally Shoots Himself In Testicles

I must admit, FOX News originally ran this story. At first, I thought it was simply too good not to share. I mean, this is cosmic justice for a career criminal. Then, I thought about it a bit more and realized that it is also the type of story that, unfortunately, gives law-abiding gun owners a bad name. Yes. Although he is a career criminal, an armed bad guy, it will give the law-abiding guns a bad name. Stories of negligent discharges such as this are, and will in the future, be used against us by the anti gunners. It is not right or fair; they will not spend any time to discover the details of how this nimrod who was legally forbidden from owning or possessing a firearm magically ended up with a gun in his pants. Instead, it will go down as a statistic of a “gun owner” mishandling a firearm and shooting himself. This is another area where, we as gun owners, need to combat the misuse of information that is erroneously used against us. Stay in California Mag Limit Case Has Important Caveat

While some gun activists are questioning the decision by U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez to grant a stay in the case of Duncan v. Becerra—the challenge to California’s magazine capacity limit—it may have been the best move for Golden State gun owners, and all it takes is a careful reading of the order to understand why. Universal Background Checks — Rights or Privileges?

Capitol Hill Democrats woke up Wednesday champing at the bit to pass an invasive, sweeping piece of legislation—H.R. 8, the “Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019”—Democrats in the “other Washington” (Washington state) are also pushing several stricter gun control measures. The overall national anti-gun push is leading many to wonder if the Democrat party has forgotten the difference between “rights” and “privileges,” or whether Democrat lawmakers just doesn’t care. Bipartisan Bill to Repeal WA Gun Control

Ten Republicans and one Democrat have signed onto a bipartisan bill in the Washington State House of Representatives aimed at repealing the controversial gun control Initiative 1639. The 30-page measure was passed by the voters in November 2018. Currently, a majority of county sheriffs, at least one police chief, and two county commissions have come against the measure and refused to enforce its oppressive, and potentially unconstitutional, mandates. Will guns be declared a National Emergency with a Democratic President?

It is fairly safe to say that Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is no friend of gun owners and the Second Amendment. That being said, while President Trump is invoking a National Emergency over illegal immigration and the border, Speaker Pelosi made a thinly veiled threat that a future Democratic President could make firearm ownership a National Emergency (under the guise of “gun violence”). Essentially, this would equate to an Executive Action to enact new gun control. [Read more…] about Will guns be declared a National Emergency with a Democratic President?

Gun Control Lawmakers Targeting Wrong People

Across the landscape this winter, lawmakers from Sarasota to San Francisco and Seattle are pressing for more gun control laws that opponents are uniformly labelling as extreme if not unconstitutional, and the proponents of these laws—uniformly Democrats—are getting a pass from the press when they offer the explanation that these new measures will reduce crime by keeping guns out of the wrong hands.
