Self-Defense: We Must Do “Something”

The shootings in Dayton and El Paso were horrible events. People who were going about their lives were gunned down by deranged “people.” The fallen are a continued source of pain to those who miss them. The wounded will have mental and physical scars for the rest of their lives. My heart goes out to the families of the dead, the wounded, and those who were traumatized by being there, even if a bullet did not find them. Let’s Go Pirate Hunting — New Tourism

After years of murders, kidnappings, and heists, the lawless sea near the Horn of Africa seems to be getting worse. A Dubai firm is capitalizing on these pirate infested waters with a strange new form of pirate tourism. The tour company, Dubai based Seahunters LLC, sells both 7 and 14 day cruises embarking from Salalah, Oman and Abu Dhabi, UAE. Unlike the quintessential cruise, the cruisers do not board in hopes of devouring mid-morning nacho buffets or snorkeling with dolphins. These cruisers board in hopes of embarking on a hunting trip with the most taboo of target – humans. [Read more…] about Let’s Go Pirate Hunting — New Tourism

Trump Popularity Remains Strong, Dems Push Gun Control

As House Democrats continue hounding the Trump administration following the embarrassment of the “no-smoking-gun” Mueller report, polls show that popularity for President Trump among voters remains high, which might be linked to recent good economic news. The Great Burning of the U.S. Republic

An example of a good idea and leadership: [Read more…] about Op-Ed: We Need Leadership, but Do We Have It?

Op-ed: Training and Values for Concealed Carry

There are many reasons for training. Training is a serious business but also a profitable business for many. A few genuinely train to save lives. Others train and go through the motions and seem to have lost contact with the reason we train. I maintain that training often reflects the individual’s personal values.
