Dem. Senators Introduce Assault Weapons Ban of 2019

I have a great many friends who are democrats and staunch supporters of the Second Amendment, but that is on a personal level. That being said, when it comes to politicians, Democrat seems to be synonymous with gun control and the assault on our Second Amendment rights. Today, the Democrats demonstrated that unity and showed their desire to strip us of our Second Amendment rights. You don’t have to take my word for it. New Year’s Shutdown – No Not the Government, Its Instagram

2019 is already shaping up to be the year of the shutdown. You have political parties at odds on budgets as they discuss (but take no action on) border security. However, this is not the shutdown that most gun owners should be most concerned about. No, the shutdown that gun owners and advocates should be most concerned about is the wave of shutdowns on social media that continues to attack the firearms industry, its advocates, personalities and educators. It’s old news that Facebook and Instagram have been moving in this direction by targeting those they disagree with or with whom its users disagree with and report as violators of their ever-expanding rules and policies. What is new is that they are getting bolder and bolder by targeting larger firearm profiles. The most recent victims are the popular “slav squad” over at Polenar Tactical (don’t worry you can still follow Manca @mancameow – for now) and firearms company Definitive Arms.

DOJ Ruling: Bump Stocks are Machine Guns

Bump stocks have been on the hit list for some time now. Not because they are intrinsically dangerous in the hands of hundreds of thousands of gun owners, but because one miscreant, a murderer, decided to use one in a horrific crime. Politicians and anti gunners, as usual, have decided to blame the implement and not the criminal. As a result, under the direction of President trump, the Department of Justice has reclassified bump stocks as machine guns. The ruling becomes official when it is placed on the Federal Register, likely this Friday, December 21, 2018. Republican or Democrat — that is all that is necessary for many voters to select the candidate. Others are single issue voters and support candidate based on their position on a particular issue. Personally, I would not put myself in either of these camps, but a candidate’s voting record on firearms plays a significant role as to who will get my vote in the next election.
