Review: Galil ACE GAR1651.308 7.61×51 Rifle
Major Pandemic was fortunate to be one of the first writers to get his hands on the newly introduced Galil ACE GAR1651 .308/7.62×51 NATO, and I have had a chance to wring it out pretty well. What I will say is, this is my favorite among the .308 semi-auto rifles I own. It is not the lightest, the prettiest, or even the most accurate, however it can take a ton of abuse and still deliver bullets where they need to go. I not only like this 8.7-pound rifle, I love it. Gun Test: Walther Creed 9mm Pistol
The face of Walther is far more than just a legacy of James Bond’s Walther PPK but a company offering real innovation. The company has leapt into cutting edge designs, which some gun buyers get right away, such as the fabulous little PPS M1 and M2. Review: Mossberg JIC II 12 Gauge Shotgun, Just in Case
When you think of the ultimate survival gun, you should think of the versatility, durability, and power of a proven 12-gauge shotgun. The reason for this versatility and diversity is the variety of 12-gauge shotshells available that range from wild to mild. Available shotshells run the gamut from sabot slugs capable of downing any North American game accurately, fletched long-range defensive rounds, door breaching rounds, signal flares, heavy goose or turkey loads, light recoiling clays loads, to the standard variety of buckshot, BB, pellets, and many more. Adjustable Gas Block — Tune Your AR-15
This last weekend, I provided a buddy a side-by-side comparison of his standard AR and one of my AR-15s with an adjustable gas block. His actual quote was, “Holy crap! When can you do that to mine?” Your first experience with an adjustable gas block will be an enlightening one. [Read more…] about Adjustable Gas Block — Tune Your AR-15

Swab-Its Review
I first saw the Swab-its at the 2015 Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show and simply didn’t get the concept of them—hmm… disposable foam bore cleaners. Yeah, the concept was cool. However, I wondered why anyone would buy such an expensive single-use product. Like many times in life, I was wrong. I learned my lesson, even though it took me a full year. My mistake was thinking, “Swab-its are a one trick pony.” In actuality, Swab-its are a well made, non-damaging, bore cleaner that can be cleaned and continually reused many, many times. Lee Loader: Survival Reloading Made Easy
For those getting started with reloading, a “round” of ammunition is composed of the case, often referred to as “brass,” which is usually made of reloadable brass, an appropriately-sized and powered replaceable centerfire primer, powder, and bullet. The whole process of a detonating round is simple; the hammer in the gun hits the firing pin, which hits the primer that detonates a small explosion to ignite the powder. In turn, the burning of the powder builds pressure inside the round in the chamber and pushes the bullet down the barrel. The chore is made simple with the Lee Loader. If you are some macho dude reading this eating steak covered in bacon and washing it down with dark beer and scotch with a 1911 holstered on your waist, the Glock G42 may not become your primary firearm. Glocks are always a favorite among shooters. The design is simple, standardized across the various models, and at the end of the day, you can count on a Glock to go bang! when you pull the trigger. We are very lucky as shooters given the proliferation good and affordable red dot sights. The technology and quality is on the rise while prices have fell into a reasonable price range. Inside: Bond Arms Factory
I am fortunate that my real job takes me all across this great country. Recently, I found myself in the Southwest Dallas area, which made a trip to Granbury Texas less of an epic adventure. The trip to Bond Arms facility was both fun and educational. I met the owner, Gordon Bond, many of his staff, and of course his robots… yes, robots. [Read more…] about Inside: Bond Arms Factory
Ruger Precision Rifle RPR .308, .243, 6.5 Creedmoor Review
When the initial reviews of the Ruger Precision Rifle came out, I was skeptical about the gloriously rosey review noting groundbreaking features… it just screamed to me that someone was all too happy to whip out knee pads and a bib to be one of the first to review Ruger’s latest, so I waited a until now for my full review. Initially, my eyes rolled hard with the thought that Ruger has just dropped its standard, Mauser-influenced action into a billet chassis, and that did not sound particularly groundbreaking—I was of course wrong completely on that point.
