I’ve gotten used to the media and the anti-gun crowd blaming the firearm every time there is a high-profile shooting event. After all, they already have an agenda to vilify guns—regardless the facts in my opinion. However, I about fell out of my chair when the jury in San Francisco found Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a.k.a. Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, not guilty on the counts of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and involuntary manslaughter in the death of Kate Steinle but guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
