Finding the right holster can feel like a retelling of the classic story of Goldilocks’ and the Three Bears. This holster is too bulky while that holster doesn’t cover the trigger guard. For most gun owners, finding the right holster can result in a box of holsters sitting in a corner that don’t fit their needs. My Goldilocks’ gun is my Ruger LCP, and I have purchased several different types of holsters trying to find the holster. My most recent purchase, a Galco Ankle Lite holster, seems to be the current winner. It offers a high level of comfortable concealment at a reasonable price. Of the various holsters I’ve purchased for this particular gun, this is the best option for on-body carry for the Ruger LCP. [Read more…] about Review: Galco Ankle Lite Ankle Holster
Elite deer hunters employ a carefully planned scent-control regimen to maintain an advantage over a whitetail’s incredible nose. When properly executed, the rewards include closer shots and more opportunities. [Read more…] about Deer Hunters: Don’t Give Away Your Power
Anti-hunters never let facts get in the way of an emotionally-based false argument, as is evidenced in their attacks in the media before the meeting of the International Wildlife Conservation Council in Atlanta, GA. Safari Club International (SCI) isn’t about to sit by idly as anti-hunters attack a federal conservation council and its members. [Read more…] about SCI Counters Antis’ Lies About Federal Commission
All life is valuable. It seems, however, that every mass murderer targets those less capable of fighting back and therefore chooses gun-free zones and areas where they will likely find the least resistance due to the nature of the venue. Because Churches, like schools, are considered soft targets, they are more likely to endure criminal activity. [Read more…] about Church Shootings Surpass School Shootings 3 to 1

Do you want to reduce your risk of death by gun violence? If so, consider these 10 common sense ways to do so. These are things one can implement fully and immediately with no permission or agreement from anyone else but are entirely in the control of any individual. Good Guys using guns for self-defense is one thing the news fails to sufficiently cover. Oh sure, the antis are out in full force whenever someone commits a heinous act, blaming and vilifying the firearm more than the perpetrator. The loss of life is very serious, and we do not wish to aggrandize the loss of any life, whether or not it was justified. However, given the current daily assaults to our Second Amendment rights headlining the mainstream media’s coverage, highlighting instances where firearms were used for self-defense to educate ourselves as lawful concealed carriers and non gun owners is more critical than ever—especially with the midterm elections looming. The American Spectator on Wednesday published a scathing analysis of recent school shootings and the Left’s knee-jerk response that takes the Obama administration’s education secretary to task for his “shoot-from-the-hip” reaction to the Santa Fe High School shooting in Texas. Although you may not be surprised by the location, you should still be concerned by the action. Boulder Colorado recently joined the totalitarian regimes of California, Washington, Chicago and New York City when it passed an ordinance banning so-called ‘assault weapons’ in addition to bump stocks. While that is ludicrous on it face, Boulder’s definition of of assault weapon is even worse. [Read more…] about Outrage: Boulder Violates 2A, 5A, 14A, and CO Constitution
My conversation with Brady Speth, Owner of Riton Optics, began like this:
I would challenge anyone—in or out of the industry—to find a better, higher quality product on the market today at any of our price points. We looked and continue looking and can’t find it.
The newest model in the Charter Arms Pitbull series can share ammo with your .45 ACP without using moonclips! I’ve always liked large frame revolvers chambered in .45 ACP. I like the idea of being able to fire the same cartridge as my 1911 and other .45 ACP pistols, in a revolver. The problem I’ve had with these revolvers is an on-again, off-again relationship with moonclips. You need moonclips to quickly load and reload these big bore revolvers. The problem is clip bend or break. [Read more…] about Gun Test: Charter Arms Pitbull in .45 ACP
Contrary to what you may see in a lot of the popular firearms media these days, the revolver as a self-defense tool is not dead. In fact, there are quite a few options available these days for those seeking a revolver for home defense, concealed carry or recreational shooting. But why would you choose a revolver when there are so many semi-automatic pistols available these days? Well, let me explain why you should consider one. When you choose a handgun and holster, you are investing in a concealed carry system. The holster is an important part of the system, at least as important as the handgun itself. I have seen too many unserviceable, sorry excuses for holsters in my classes, and the hell of it is many carry such holsters to defend their life! [Read more…] about Choosing the Right Holster
It is not too often we get a chance to report on a state known for opposing the Second Amendment for doing the right thing and defeating gun control legislation. Recently, Illinois law makers passed a bill that would have all but resulted in the outright ruination of every gun retailer in the state. The State was attempting to, in essence, create its own FFL license complete with the fees and provisions it would set. [Read more…] about Illinois — Defeating Gun Control

However, at the opening of the NRA Convention’s Leadership Forum, when Chris Cox was announcing the roll call speakers, perhaps the only one to get a bigger round of applause and cheers than Diamond and Silk was President Trump. Watch the video to see why. [Read more…] about Diamond and Silk — NRA 2018
